Lead Software Engineer
Description
SinterNova is seeking a Founding Software Engineer to architect the bare-metal hardware interfacing for our kinetic-photonic micro-refinery. This is a pure, hardware-level programming role focused on software-defined material synthesis and closed-loop thermodynamic control.
Responsibilities
Bare-Metal DAQ Programming: Architect a sub-10ms closed-loop Data Acquisition (DAQ) system capable of processing real-time acoustic impedance and thermal sensor feedback.
Dynamic Amplitude Modulation: Write the specific control algorithms that command an acoustic positive-displacement piston to instantly adjust its physical stroke length, moving seamlessly from a plasticization phase to a holding state.
Thermodynamic Bounding: Ensure the software loop mathematically and strictly bounds the internal melt pool to a specific thermal limit, preventing degradation and toxic VOC off-gassing.
Hardware-Locked DRM Integration: Lay the foundational code for an Equipment-as-a-Service (EaaS) tolling model, integrating load cell data with encrypted cellular IoT telemetry to track continuous-flow throughput.
Compensation
We are currently raising our $150K-250K Pre-Seed round and federal Phase I grant. This role is structured in two distinct phases:
Phase 1 (Immediate): Highly compensated, part-time contractor (nights/weekends). You will build the initial DAQ sensor scripts for our benchtop prototype.
Phase 2 (Triggered): The moment our Pre-Seed capital clears the bank, this converts to a full-time Founding Engineer role featuring a $110,000 base salary + 2.5-4% equity (Standard 4-year vest, 1-year cliff, double-trigger acceleration).
